TERMS & CONDITIONS

Last Updated: 24 September 2026

These Terms and Conditions govern your use of the website https://www.lakeviewganapathy.com/ and the related digital services operated by Sri Lake View Mahaganapathy Temple Trust (“Temple”, “we”, “us” or “our”).

Our services include online pooja, seva and event bookings, donations, payment processing, receipts, Temple communications, WhatsApp communications and authorized access to Temple management software (collectively, the “Services”).

By accessing or using the Services, making a booking or donation, or submitting information to the Temple, you agree to these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree, please do not use the Services.

1. Eligibility

You must be legally capable of entering into a binding agreement to use transaction-related Services. A person under 18 years of age should use the Services only with the involvement and authorization of a parent or legal guardian.

If you use the Services on behalf of another person or organization, you confirm that you have authority to provide the relevant information and accept these Terms on their behalf.

2. Information Provided by Users

You agree to provide complete and accurate information when making a booking, donation, payment or enquiry. This may include your name, mobile number, email address, address, booking details and names provided for sankalpa or other religious services.

You are responsible for checking names, dates, mobile numbers, email addresses and service selections before submitting a transaction. The Temple is not responsible for errors resulting from inaccurate information supplied by a user.

When providing information about another person, including a child, you confirm that you are authorized to provide that information.

3. Pooja, Seva and Event Bookings

Submission of a booking request does not by itself guarantee confirmation. A booking is confirmed only after any required payment has been successfully processed and a confirmation or receipt has been issued.

Pooja, seva and event dates, times, priests, procedures and arrangements may be changed when reasonably necessary because of religious requirements, festivals, Temple schedules, safety concerns, government directions, operational requirements or circumstances beyond the Temple’s control.

Where reasonably possible, the Temple will communicate significant changes using the contact information provided during booking.

Religious services are performed according to applicable Temple traditions and practices. The Temple does not make commercial guarantees concerning religious or spiritual outcomes.

4. Donations

Donations made to the Temple are voluntary. Donors are responsible for ensuring that the amount, purpose and contact information entered are correct before completing payment.

Donation receipts may be issued electronically. A receipt does not by itself guarantee eligibility for any tax deduction. Any tax benefit is subject to applicable law, the nature of the donation and the validity of the supporting receipt.

5. Prices and Payments

Unless stated otherwise, amounts displayed on the website are in Indian Rupees.

Payments may be processed through third-party payment gateways, banks or financial institutions. Their services may be governed by separate terms and privacy policies.

The Temple does not intend to collect or store complete card numbers, CVV numbers, UPI PINs, online banking passwords or similar payment credentials. Such information is processed by the relevant payment provider.

A transaction is complete only after confirmation is received from the payment provider and recorded by the Temple. If a payment appears pending or failed, do not make repeated payments without first checking the transaction status.

For duplicate, erroneous or unconfirmed transactions, contact the Temple and provide the transaction reference without sharing passwords, PINs or complete card information.

6. Cancellations and Refunds

Successful voluntary donations and completed booking payments are generally non-refundable, subject to the Temple’s published Refund Policy and applicable law.

Cancellation and refund eligibility may depend on the type of service, whether arrangements have already been made and whether the service has been performed or scheduled.

The Refund Policy is available at:

https://www.lakeviewganapathy.com/refundpolicy

Nothing in these Terms excludes a refund, correction or remedy that must be provided under applicable law, including for duplicate or erroneous charges.

7. Receipts and Electronic Records

Booking confirmations, donation acknowledgements, receipts and transaction records may be provided electronically through the website, email, SMS or WhatsApp.

You are responsible for retaining copies of confirmations and receipts needed for your records. Contact the Temple if a receipt contains an error.

8. Communications

By providing your contact information in connection with a booking, donation, enquiry or Temple service, you authorize the Temple to send communications reasonably necessary for that transaction or service.

Communications may include confirmations, receipts, reminders, schedule changes, seva-related photographs or videos, responses to enquiries and other service-related information.

Where permitted, the Temple may also send information about Temple events, festivals, poojas and activities. You may request that non-essential promotional communications stop by contacting the Temple or replying through the relevant communication channel.

Delivery of electronic communications cannot be guaranteed because it may depend on mobile networks, email providers, WhatsApp, Meta and other third-party systems.

9. WhatsApp and Meta Services

The Temple may use WhatsApp and the WhatsApp Business Platform provided by Meta to communicate with devotees and users.

Use of WhatsApp is also subject to WhatsApp’s and Meta’s applicable terms and privacy practices. Information necessary to deliver and manage communications may be processed through their systems.

Facebook Login for Business or WhatsApp Embedded Signup may be used by authorized Temple administrators solely to connect and manage the Temple’s authorized WhatsApp business assets. It is not used as the normal login system for devotees.

10. Accounts and Restricted Systems

Certain Temple management and administrative systems are restricted to authorized staff and approved users.

Users of restricted systems must keep usernames, passwords, authentication codes and security credentials confidential. Credentials must not be shared or used to permit unauthorized access.

The Temple may suspend or revoke access where reasonably necessary to protect its systems, records, users or legal obligations.

11. Acceptable Use

You must not use the Services to violate any law, infringe another person’s rights, submit false or misleading information, impersonate another person, distribute malware, send unauthorized communications or interfere with the operation or security of the Services.

You must not attempt to access restricted data, accounts, servers or administrative functions without authorization, or probe, scan or test system vulnerabilities without written permission.

Automated scraping, copying or extraction of website content for commercial use is prohibited unless expressly authorized in writing.

12. Privacy and Data Deletion

Collection and handling of personal information are governed by the Temple’s Privacy Policy:

https://www.lakeviewganapathy.com/privacy-policy

Instructions for requesting deletion of eligible personal information are available at:

https://www.lakeviewganapathy.com/data-deletion

These policies form part of these Terms and Conditions.

13. Third-Party Services and Links

The Services may rely on or link to third-party services, including payment gateways, banks, hosting providers, email providers, WhatsApp and Meta.

The Temple is not responsible for the independent operation, availability, security or content of third-party services. Users should review the applicable terms and privacy policies before using those services.

A link to an external website does not imply endorsement unless expressly stated.

14. Intellectual Property

Unless otherwise stated, the Temple owns or is authorized to use the website content, logos, photographs, videos, text, graphics, designs and other materials displayed through the Services.

You may use website content for personal and non-commercial purposes connected with Temple activities. You may not reproduce, sell, modify, distribute, publish or commercially exploit the content without prior written permission from the Temple or the relevant rights holder.

15. Service Availability and Accuracy

The Temple takes reasonable care to keep information accurate and Services available. However, information concerning schedules, availability, fees, events and services may change.

The Services may occasionally be unavailable because of maintenance, technical failures, third-party outages, security incidents or circumstances beyond the Temple’s control.

The Temple does not guarantee that the Services will always be uninterrupted, error-free or available on every device or network.

16. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the Temple will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss arising from use of or inability to use the Services, third-party service failures or inaccurate information provided by a user.

Where the Temple is legally liable in connection with a particular paid transaction, its aggregate liability will not exceed the amount paid to the Temple for that affected transaction, except where a greater remedy is required by applicable law.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including liability for fraud, wilful misconduct, gross negligence, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or mandatory consumer rights.

17. Indemnity

To the extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify the Temple against claims, losses or reasonable expenses arising directly from your unlawful misuse of the Services, material breach of these Terms, infringement of another person’s rights or submission of information you were not authorized to provide.

This provision does not apply to loss caused by the Temple’s own unlawful conduct.

18. Force Majeure

The Temple will not be responsible for delay, rescheduling or failure caused by events reasonably beyond its control, including natural disasters, severe weather, fire, flood, epidemic, government restrictions, civil disturbance, power or network failures, payment-system outages or other emergencies.

The Temple will take reasonable steps to communicate material changes and provide an appropriate response consistent with applicable law and the nature of the affected service.

19. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of India.

Subject to any mandatory consumer-protection rights or jurisdiction provided by law, disputes concerning these Terms or the Services will be subject to the jurisdiction of the competent courts and forums in Bengaluru, Karnataka.

Nothing in this section prevents a consumer from approaching a consumer commission or another competent authority where permitted by applicable law.

20. Changes to These Terms

The Temple may update these Terms to reflect changes in its Services, technology, policies or legal obligations.

The current version will be published on this page with the revised “Last Updated” date. Continued use of the Services after publication of an updated version constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms to the extent permitted by law.

21. Severability and Waiver

If any provision of these Terms is found invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in effect.

Failure by the Temple to enforce a provision on one occasion does not waive its right to enforce that provision later.
